How To Avoid Sleepwalking And Stop Pretending Not To Know…
I tell myself “Self, wake up sleepyhead!”
Many times I pretend to have it all figured out. For example… I know copywriting. BUT I ONLY know about 3% of the copywriting universe.
I don’t know zilch compared to a copywriter of 40 years like John Carlton, Dan Kennedy, and Parris Lampropolous.
So I cover my giblets with a leaf… Squeezing my way through a noisy world of other people covering up naked areas.
Look around you.
Do you think your guru, parents, teachers, and friends have it all figured out? In fact, they have little figured out. We all are sleepwalkers buying new shiny things to solve nagging problems. We humans, love unwrapping new gifts. Giving ourselves proof of progress.
It’s easy to be a sleepwalker.
It’s hard to remove the leaf from our bathing suit area. Pretending to ignore the temptation of something shiny and new. A distraction.
It’s all about your attention.
Every email, text, ding, dollar, conversation, image, and news article is battling for your attention.
Waking up is hard… Everything around you is screaming in your face to stay distracted.
Take time to journal. Go for a walk.
Ask the questions to align your realm.
