Darkness & Hope
Yesterday at 1 p.m., I took my 7-year-old choco lab (Joon) to walk at my neighborhood park.
She loves nature and sniffing the ground like a genius detective.
About 5 minutes into the walk, I discovered shattered beer bottles and giant shards of a vodka bottle.
If I hadn’t noticed it ahead, Joon could have sliced open her paws. Which would lead to emotional and physical pain…
So many questions ran through my mind.
How in the hell do you go to the neighborhood park and do this?
What happened that made you want to break so many bottles?
Where do you live? Local… or from another part of town?
This event took over my thinking.
And it inspired me to dig deeper and take over my thoughts.
You see, your thoughts tend to lie to you.
They want to hijack your intentions and get you sidetracked if you aren’t prepared and centered.
If my head was full of junk and always pissed off… I wouldn’t get anything done.
I had to reframe this situation and pray that this person found peace, and made it home.
If the news is triggering you to get off track. Don’t rebuke yourself…
… marketing is paramount.
Input equals output.
Center your mind right from the start of your day.
I do so with no phone in my room.
What do you do to get focused?
