I Almost Lost My Only Dog… By Killing Another Dog I Love

I almost lost my one and ONLY beloved chocolate lab (Joon)…

… by killing another dog that I love too.

How would I go to bed knowing that I had to kill one to protect another?

You see, Joon is the best dog on the planet.

And so is the short-legged buffalo butt British bulldog they call Flash.

I love them both because they have never caused trouble when I am around them. Always calm and attentive to my own amusement.

But that night, I realized that they can’t be around each other.

And here’s why.

When Flash came over to visit, he appeared to be aggressive for feeling 2nd in command. And Joon is extremely protective of her territory.

They roamed the front yard like lions in an arena.

Except, I didn’t pick up on it until Flash almost locked his teeth on Joon’s right rear leg!

I grabbed him right before he got to her!

And at that moment, I knew he might have to wrestle with me.

Therefore, I would have to defend myself at all costs.

Flash went to bite my forearm, but he missed it again.

This time, I was able to walk away and get Joon away from the situation.

This happens in our own personal journey too.

It’s difficult to face our situations at times. But you have to do what you have to do.

Defend your family. Speak up when needed. Being self-aware. And walk away even if it doesn’t seem right.

Flash is ok. Joon is good.

But if I hadn’t taken action to rescue Joon, I’d have a bloody mess, dead dogs, and a series of big baby emotions because of guilt and regret.

If you always channel the “worst-case scenario” in all of your dreams and goals, they will seize your body up. Filling you up with emotional acid and eventually kicking you to the curb.

Start thinking about what is possible. Start seeing the good. Start taking action.

This is your day. It belongs to no one but YOU!
