I’m new to the game, but it doesn’t mean that I not alert and paying very close attention to my job.
Let me show you how with this little story about my neighbor and his lawnmower.
Back in hot July summer of 2016, my retired neighbor was pushing around a clunky, beat up the lawnmower and sweat shined from his forehead.
But I could see that he was ready for someone to help out and pick up the slack with his old age taking an on a toll on his back.
Therefore, I helped him clean up grass clippings.
But it occurred to me, that there is an easier way.
How?
Get someone else to do it.
A local kid? Maybe… but I’d have to prospect around the neighborhood. Besides, the kid might not even be excited to do it because his mom is making him do the job. That would mean he would do a bad job.
Get up earlier to beat the sun? But summer activities and work have people tied up! Every minute of sleep counts!
Then the magic came from above.
As I stared into the unlimited power of the sun…
… the desperate switch in my head flipped on!
Who can refer me to a good lawn company??
Wait… what?
Did I just say ask for a lawn company?
But the cost, time, money! Will my neighbors think I’m lazy?
But, ill get back some sleep. I won’t sweat in the sun. I won’t have to clean up. I won’t smell like gasoline and grass. I can spend time watching Netflix and eat a sandwich.
Who can you refer to to help solve your problems?
Google refers. Facebook refers.
Heck, your own mind refers is you release some static and focus on what you want.
That’s how you get clients to refer you.
Solve problems – save them time, headache, and struggle.
You’ll never run out of work!
