Chubby Dracula, Budweiser, And Keto

“We’re all kept alive by magic, Sookie. My magic’s just a little different from yours, that’s all.”

Bill Compton, True Blood, Season 1: Mine

Does Halloween make you get diddy for about late-night bowl of Cocoa Puffs and booze?

Well, …all holidays find a tricky way to pitch the “escape” from the 9 to 5, but Halloween has a more attractive way of “framing” the mood.

Oh, look! There is candy, makeup, long-legged vixens, vodka tonic, and Ben.

Who is Ben?

Ben is the lonely, chubby guy dressed as Dracula at this year’s Halloween party.

And Ben has beef with the participants at this party.

You see, Ben despises high school crowds at holiday parties.

He didn’t feel like he fitted to anyone here, even behind a “mask.”

So why does Ben keep showing up?

It’s the simple tug of distortion.

What causes distortion at parties?

Booze.

Sugar.

Flavored fat.

And role-play.

We all have the desire to be the person we wish to be, and see who will play along with us.

And we can get our brains to get a squirt of chemical goods, then all is great in the mental funhouse.

We are tickled, entertained, and mystified in pretend land!

If not, boredom sets in, inner complaining starts, and if you love drama, starting a fight will seem like the right thing to do to feel alive.

This happens to all of us, just like Ben.

Expect Ben wants to keep working and trying.

And he is gonna role play tonight, and take a night off of his keto diet, and hit the booze and sugar like a fat kid in a cake shop.

Yea sister, you are in for the show.

We love drama. But don’t want to be involved with it.

So keep aware of the “simple things” and observe the magic happen, instead of racing around the room with the dark arts of sweets and alcohol!

Ride strong this season, my friend!

It takes a severe amount of mind power, and can be done!
