Catching Breadsticks, Friday Night Horn Dog, And Moolah

Strolling around with my grocery cart on an empty stomach is fatal.

Carbs, fats, and sugar are the go-to items, and the marketing in supermarkets know how to attract consumers into the vortex!

Chips, dips, frozen pizza, chocolate, and cheese! I’ll even purchase crappy breadsticks if I got no food in my gut.

However, to top it off, I bumped into an old friend, who was fired from his last job for sleeping with the youngins and sleeping on the job.

It’s like it was playing back a mix old tape.

Predictable.

Get to the best parts.

Except for this time, it turned really old.

Because I changed. I grew up. I became a responsible adult.

This old friend hadn’t changed one bit — not even the sleeping role.

Dude, that’s what ruined your life!

Listen, we all make mistakes.

But, you have to learn and prove to yourself you are trying your best.

Why did he still have the same attitude if it caused him so much trouble and pain? (especially to others involved.)

No self-worth. Zero responsibility.

He began to sense my boredom, and it bothered him to the core. His steering power of conversation switched from chasing poo-tang to moolah.

Money this, cha-ching that.

Dude…again…nothing has changed.

He was a stuck, money-grubbing, genitalia crazed zombie. Moreover, his life was about to catch be on repeat.

And I could see it as clear as day.

I had to get out fast.

How to get out of the toxic conversation without feeling guilty.

  1. Get a wristwatch. (Don’t use your smartphone.)
  2. When you sense a toxic run-in with an old friend, family member, or co-worker, glance at your wristwatch.
  3. Say you’re crunched for time. And mean it.
  4. And move.

You might feel like you are being fake and unfriendly.

You aren’t here to be worried. You are here to make a difference!

You must reframe. You must be ruthless. You must take responsibility for your life and time.

I live by a mantra every day. I read it. I say it. And I live it.

Here it is: This is my life and it’s ending one minute at a time. So stop doing shit you hate.

That why I carry a watch. Because when I need to get to progress, the clock is a trigger to get me back on track and make success.

We are all trying to figure out life. And a good start is being responsible for your time.

If you don’t have a watch, get one today!

It doesn’t matter if you have to get home and eat a sandwich. It’s your time!

Break up the old crap conversations in your life.

I give you permission to fire anyone that wastes your time.
